As Town Administrator of the Town of North Smithfield, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the official website of our great town. Thanks to the technical assistance, expertise and benevolence of Lighthouse Computer Services and after many months of preparation and planning, we are presenting to the cyber world a brief visual description of the town, its government, its schools, municipal departments and links to sites of interest and importance.
One of our goals in recreating this website was to better inform our residents about what is going on in the community. As we refine the pages, interested people will be able to download the Town Council agenda, read the minutes of meetings, e-mail officials, and visit the various departments.
North Smithfield, sometimes referred to as the Gateway to Northern Rhode Island, is a beautiful town conveniently located on Route 146 between Providence and Worcester and just an hour from Boston. Modern and easily accessible T.F. Green Airport is less than thirty minutes from town.
